O2 supports VVM which is all that is required according to your link.

What are your network apn settings?
Are you both on iData?
Have you tried resetting the network settings to defaults etc?

@Chris_K is suggesting it's country specific, although I've not seen this mentioned anywhere else, but for now, we have to assume it's not available on O2-UK.

Some posts over on MacRumors were talking about this (Link :http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/voicemail-transcription-for-the-uk.1988212/ ) also and some were suggesting they could get it to work by switching Siri's langaue to U.S.

Again, not sure how much truth there is in this......

Hi guys, As my colleague @Chris_K has mentioned in a similar thread, at this time this feature is supported only in certain countries. If or when this changes, we'll let you know.

Your solved answer does not appear to be strictly accurate. I have made the transcription service available on my phone. I found that i needed to set the phone language and region to US english, and also Siri to US english and then reset network settings.

any alteration to this combination broke the feature until all three settings were returned to US english and network reset
