Hello my contract ends on 18th February so my phone will be fully paid for. I do not wish to keep this phone nor do I want to keep paying after my contract ends. What exactly happens when my contract ends please? Will I still be charged the same monthly amount or will that be cancelled out and I start to pay for each call, message, data usage etc? I don't wish to upgrade early either - I don't have much money to afford an early upgrade then a new phone/contract

After handset paid off your Bill will drop to airtime only. If you want cancel the airtime you have to give 30 days notice by calling 202

It depends if you got your contract from o2 or a third party.
If o2, your payments will automatically drop to airtime only on the same tariff costs with free mins etc.
If a third party it will carry on at full price unless cancelled.

Thank you everyone. I ordered from Carphone Warehouse, so do I have to cancel my contract with them or can I just cancel with o2?

Quick Google search and Carphone Warehouse explain I need to cancel with o2 not with them

You need to call O2 on 202 and give notice at the end of January.

Upgrade or carry on at a reduced cost (assuming you are on refresh)....?
