Work for NHS and got code and it worked but was told by O2 shop could pass code to 4 members of family is this true?

Think the shop meant the family & friends offer. Im sure o2 open only applies to the person using the code

How do I get my friends and family signed up to O2 Open?
Simply give your friend or family your O2 Open code and ask them to go and sign up in their nearest shop. You will need to go with them and show ID/proof that you work for an O2 Open company. They'll need to take along two proofs of identify and bank or credit card details to buy a contract phone (see the list below).

You can use your code up to 5 times, so shop is correct.

I believe it can only be used for new contracts for up to 5 family members/friends.
