Perhaps have a watch of this video guide that I made, and see if you can find out which apps are using a lot of data, and from there, perhaps choose to only allow wifi on those apps. Might save you the need to purchase additional data

Hi,

I seem to be using a lot of data. I go over the 5GB a month that I have on my plan. Is there a way to upgrade my data to a higher amount? I tried online but it didn't give me any option apart from 5GB sharer plan?

Look in your MY O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2
There is a change my tariff section which will show all that is available to you.
If there isn't enough there you can pay off your phone and take a new contract with a higher data value.

5GB is a lot of data to use every month. Do you know what you're using it on? Do you turn your data off and update your apps using WiFi, or are your apps always updating in the background? Social media apps eat up a great deal of data if they're left on to update all the time.
