Hi, I was just wondering how long it took for a refund to be carried out. I made an order for an iPhone 5S (with contract) last Friday but then decided to cancel it later on that day. I believe I'm entitled to a full refund but was wondering just how long it takes for the money to return to my account

It can take two weeks. Possibly longer. I know, I know. It's a long time, but it's not an unusual practice. Lots of companies take that long for refunds.

Thanks. I'm not too bothered about waiting, just as long as the money gets back to me at some point!

Did you purchase the phone online from O2 or in store?

Yes I did, but I didn't recieve anything about cancelling it though

I would contact Customer Service just to confirm that you have canceled.

Just spoke to Customer Services via the online chat and they have confirmed it has been cancelled. The person I spoke to said I would have to wait 7 days for the refund. Hopefully it is as soon as that!

Don't believe what the live chat is saying

I've been told by them my refunds was on it's way 10 days ago when in fact my refund was issued 3 days ago so now I have to wait even longer for my money!

speak to them on the phone as they have bit more information

Recieved my refund today! I recieved an email from O2 on Saturday saying 'We have refunded the charge today onto your payment card. Please allow 3/5 working days for the refund to reach your account'. BUT, hardly had to wait at all! Only took O2 6 working days for them to refund me, instead of the 7 they suggested. Good work O2!

I cancelled via live chat too told it was cancelled 2 wks later still hadn't received refund , rang customer services and it hadn't been activated ! Finally got it now though

I have been waiting for 11 days now for a refund that should not have been taken from my account, I cancelled a sim which I ordered by mistake all within the 7 days you have to cancel but they still took the money from my account, knowing the account was cancelled, ..... I'm disgusted that I have to wait this long for money that should never have been taken in the first place,
Please help what can I do

It takes around 14 working days tp process a refund.
