topic Old iphone 4 sim still working in Apple

I've spent this afternoon setting up my new iphone 5s, even installed the nano sim, and all working fine. However, I see my old iphone 4 has just stated 'no service' but has wifi. I think my next task is to reset it to factory settings, as I intend to sell it. Is that all I need to do please? I assume that the 'no service' message means that that sim is no longer functioning. Thanks in advance. Ann

Just go into settings and hit erase content and settings.

That will wipe it back to factory conditions.
