I have two Iphones (one is my son's) and the contacts etc keep syncing together. Sometimes I get texts sent to my son. This happened before the update too. I have been for support at the store but its still happening. Can anyone advise me on what I need to do please?

Ali

Yes. I have one iTunes account but the phones come up separately when we plug in. Sorry, I am pretty rubbish at sorting any problems!
Thanks

You need an itunes account each, else the problem won't go away really

At the very least you both need a separate AppleID in the imessage and facetime settings as that is what is causing the problems. It would also be beneficial to use a separate AppleID for your iCloud backups too as it means you each have 5GB rather than having to share it.

There are advantages to keeping the same ID for AppStore and iTunes purchases as it means purchases will be accessable on both devices without needing to buy them twice.

Easiest way to solve the issue is to get your son to sign out of your Apple ID in settings/messages, settings/facetime and settings/iCloud. Then get him to sign up to his own Apple ID in settings/iCloud and then use that Apple ID in settings/messages and settings/facetime. That should pretty much clear the issue.
