Unlock request for iPhone 5S thread

I've tried 3 times now and all requests have failed 😞

Has anyone had a lucky break and managed to get their 5S unlocked?

It's no biggy as I'm with o2 anyway but would like to have it unlocked so that part of the ball/chain has been released

A couple have but I believe they were told they had to pay off the phone completely first....

I recall when it took around 6 months for o2 to unlock the iPhone 5.

Yes I'm getting told the same:

Hi Lee,

We have not process the request as there is outstanding on CCA phone
plans.

Please settle your outstandings CCA phone plans due and resubmit your
request.

I have now had 4 different answers from the online chat! First person said the phone would be unlocked in 5 days. Second said I had to pay my plan off and then they would unlock. Third said that if I go into the apple store they would be able to unlock it for me and finally the forth stated that they are currently not unlocking the iphone 5s. Why cant they all get their answer correct. If they are able to unlock the phone why wont they? When I first bought the phone I was told it could be unlocked. If I had known I would have had this palava then I would have bought the phone sim free!!! I work abroad and need the phone when im away but use the contract when im home. Does anyone know when they are likely to be unlocking the iPhone 5S?
