Using iPhone in USA?Canada

I will be in Canada/USA for a month and will need to use my phone for texts/occasional calls/ lots of internet use!

I thought I needed to pay the £120 data bolt on, but on live chat have been told if I download Tu Go there will be no cost...........................now confused!!

Any thoughts please...don't want to waste the £120

Another option is to purchase a local sim while your there. Just make sure your phone is unlocked and your aware of their tariff costs.

As far as I'm aware Tugo does not give free data.

Yet again, misleading and incorrect information being given out by chat. You can use your talk and text minutes over a Wifi connection. If the Wifi is free, that's the only bit that is.

When is someone going to stop live chat giving wrong information out?

@Nellymo, if you are going to be in the US and Canada for a month, get your phone unlocked, if it isn't already, and buy a local sim card to use for internet data. It will be much cheaper for you that way.
