Why is my phone (iPhone 4s) using data when I'm not using it? 3% gone already today and I'm connected to my wifi and haven't used it at all today.

Hey.

When Your iPhone goes into sleep mode it auto changes to 3G to save battery.

When I'm at home I usually turn off 3G and mobile data which forces the iPhone to stay with wifi.

Also some of your apps update in the background too.

Thanks for the reply, although I've never done this before and data has lasted the month, I will try it and see how it goes, once again, thanks.

Also turn off sending diagnostic info to apple.
