Hi all,

I have a 4S. Call forwarding has never been a problem before but two times out of the last three I have been unable to cancel a divert that I'd set up. This has caused some real problems for my work and is very frustrating.

The online advice suggests calling ##002# to cancel all diverts but this just doesn't work and all I get is a list of "setting erasure failed" messages. The problem sorted itself out after about six hours last time but even this was annoying.

Any ideas anybody?

Yeah, that's how it normally turns off.

However, because of this fault I can slide the actual control thingymibob to both the ON and OFF positions without it actually affecting the call forwarding itself.

I've turned call forwarding off a hundred times in the way you've confirmed but on a couple of annoying occasions it has proven impossible to cancel!

I think you are at a stage now where you need to back everything up to itunes and do a set up as new to see if that clears the problem for you. You can always restore from the back up afterwards. I'm sure it's phone related not network.
