Not particularly O2 related per se.... left O2 after many many years when iPhone 5 came out due to ongoing issues which didn't seem to be improving...

Went to EE (T-Mob at the time) and boy am i suffering buyers remorse ... 2 sim cards and 2 iPhone5's later (Apple replacements for probably working handsets) later and i'm still stuck with a service thats dropping all the time (Going no-service) and support tech's that are just saying 'Have you tried switching it off and on?'

My number is stuck with T-Mob for 12 months now .... grass isn't as green elsewhere as it seems 😞

Tried all these:
1. Updated to iOS6.0.1
2. Replaced iP5 by Apple (despite them saying the handset was fine - thanks for that one)
3. Replaced Nano Sim by T-Mob (they credited my account the £10 fee at least)
4. Setup phone as new (restore sw without backup) meaning inconveinice to me as i had to set everything back up and i lost some data inevitably
5. Contacted T-Mob support several times and been told to:
a. Network Settings Reset
b. All settings reset
c. Network reprovisioning on Sim

Right now i'm getting 0.12 mbit speeds and crappy call quality .... using an iPhone5 with that speed isn't great

And to think i gave up my o2 unlimited iPhone simplicity tariff for this

i had exactly the same problem with my iPhone 4. tried sorting it out for 3 months as no one could hear me. i couldn't hear them.complained to the network as i was paying for a phone contract i couldn't use. they put me through to an apple engineer who was actually speaking to me from Kentucky, USA. sent it all back in bag provided and still they sent me back my phone saying diagnostic check was done and no problem. re backed it all up again through Itunes and again same problem. today my son took my phone into Apple store in bristol and they have just swapped it over for a new handset.! i cant believe this wasn't done at the beginning...i've paid 3 months bill with no use of phone and i've been stressed to heck trying to sort it out and now i a going to try and claim some monthly bill money back. the provider says it was not there fault as there was a fault with the phone and not the network even though i have pointed out my contract is with them and not apple.i am not letting this go though. so good luck

The phone might well be an apple phone but your contract covers the supply of both the hardware as well as network.

If like me I have a iPhone 5 contract from O2 but the phone came from CPW then I'm at CPW mercy if the hardware a stuffed.

In the iPhone 4S case I'm pretty sure the phones were brought by O2 in which case the hardware is their prerogative.

(Make sense?)

So glad you got it sorted. At least they have been fair but it's been a rough ride for you. So, in conclusion, anyone in the same position with a genuine grievance should persue their complaint until you get a satisfactory outcome.

Good luck with your chosed network highlightshadow:smileyhappy:
