Maldives Roaming Charges

Hi,

one of our users recently visited the Maldives and on his return was billed and astronomical amount for using 1 Gb of data.

The user has a an unlimited calls, txt, and data tariff, but no travel add-on.

I've tried to find the information about roaming charges in the Maldives, but can't find anything on the website/net. Does anyone know what roaming charges are in the Maldives?

Thanks for the reply. We've been charged £37,000 for 1.5GB. Were arguing with the provider, it's ridiculous what we're being charged.

1.5Gb at £6 per MB so around £9K for 1.5Gb + VAT so £11,059 all I can say is ouch... so that sounds like a miscalculation by your provider...
