Terror attack in Berlin

German news are posting a truck drove into a christmas market... At least 9 dead and 50 injured.

One of the drivers is already dead after police/fire dept catched him.

Will it never end? -.-

My son, his girlfriend and best friend were at the market but escaped the carnage thankfully, others didn't unfortunately and it's those peoples' famalies I feel for. Had a late night phone call from my son to tell me he was safe as I knew they were going to the market. I know the place well as I have visited the market twice at Christmas. What a dangerous place the world is these days, just awful.

I can't just understand how they could recognize that he is a (potential) terrorist, watch him....But stop that observation. Sending him back wasn't done because of his passport was missing... You can come into Europe without a passport, but not going out... wtf? Aswell as he was able to go as he wished between Viersen and Berlin - again without a passport...

I just can't udnerstand that laws anymore. It seems terrorists (refugees) can do everything as they wish.. That's just wrong.

According to this article, the German Market area (and others) are now being protected from other lorry attacks by using these barriers from Formula E Racing

Local French breaking news is saying the attacker has been shot dead in Italy.

Beggars belief that a man whose face was everywhere made it as far as Italy. At least they got him but I would have loved him to be in a Berlin prison to really suffer the same pain he put families through. The other inmates would have seen to that...

Good god. I just have such a bad feeling about today. All my family are out and I want them to come home. Can't say I have ever felt like that before...
