Bad news for Sam Allardyce?

England manager Sam Allardyce is under investigation by the F.A.

Apparently he faces accusations of trying to negotiate a £400,000 deal and offering advice to businessmen on how to “get around” FA rules on player transfers.

There was scandal concerning Sam and his son and agents some years ago. You would think that a man in his dream job would have learned a little common sense and been careful.

Currrently the Allardyce story is still making headline news. Second only to the live debate between Hillary Clinton and Trump (out of those two presidential candidates.. I would say Hillary trumped Trump by the way )

Back on topic though, Sam is a friend of mine, his son and my son played on the same team, but I am finding it difficult to defend him this time. I will be emailing him to ask what the hell he is playing at. It ain't football that's for sure!

Just heard on 5 news that Allardyce has left his post 'by mutual consent'....

Allardyce released this statement 10 minutes ago...

"Further to recent events, The FA and I have mutually agreed to part company. It was a great honour for me to be appointed back in July and I am deeply disappointed at this outcome. This afternoon, I met with Greg Clarke and Martin Glenn and offered a sincere and wholehearted apology for my actions.

Although it was made clear during the recorded conversations that any proposed arrangements would need The FA’s full approval, I recognise I made some comments which have caused embarrassment. As part of today’s meeting, I was asked to clarify what I said and the context in which the conversations took place. I have co-operated fully in this regard. I also regret my comments with regard to other individuals.”
