Just saw the awful news. I don't know what's happening in my country. It's become a vicious circle of hate and mistrust, and there are some who are stoking the fires on both sides. I fear for the future.

Idiots completely missing the point of "black lives matter" all lives matter, including those who chose to serve and protect the innocent.
A handful of bad policing incidents does not justify anything like this or Dallas.

I'm sorry to say that it looks very likely atrocities like this will continue. There are too many guns on the streets in the US. It's completely out of hand. The absurdity of it all is that certain factions in the US refuse to bring in laws to control guns.

The Republican National Convention begins tomorrow in Cleveland. The state of Ohio has an 'open carry' gun law. With all the protests planned against Trump outside the convention, there is the very real potential for a bloodbath.

Carrying guns is a constitutional right that dates back to the days of lawlessness when people were shot at will after falling out over a beer in a bar or a hand of cards.
It has no place in a supposedly modern society where humans respect each other.....

My (most recent) favorite on this subject is a guy called Jim Jefferies.

He is an Australian who has lived in the UK and America and seen first hand how bizarre and backwards the current legislation is.
