Community Film thread: The Oscars (Best Actor)

Hi guys,

As the film enthusiasts of you probably know, the 2013 Oscars are less than a month away.

In the next few weeks, I'll be posting the nominees from a range of categories and I'd love to hear your thoughts, as they always split opinions, especially here in the office.

So today we look at the main Actor/Actress awards. There's an obvious one in each category for me, but what do you think?

Best Actor

Bradley Cooper, Silver Linings Playbook
Daniel Day-Lewis, Lincoln
Hugh Jackman, Les Misérables
Joaquin Phoenix, The Master
Denzel Washington, Flight

Best Actress

Jessica Chastain, Zero Dark Thirty
Jennifer Lawrence, Silver Linings Playbook
Emmanuelle Riva, Amour
Quvenzhané Wallis, Beasts of the Southern Wild
Naomi Watts, The Impossible

Or do you prefer the Golden Globes, BAFTAs and Screen actors guild awards?

okay, so for the actors im torn between Hugh Jackman and DDL... simply as the trailers for the films i have seen them in look sensational..

and it has to be Jennifer Lawrence for me....

Haha Carrie, a lot of movie fans ignore the Oscars so it's not big deal for me I understand

Daniel Day Lewis will clicnch the prize for me. If he does he'll be the forst actor to win 3 leading awards.

I think Jessica Chastain will win the actress gong.

I watched Looper last night.........sublime!
