There are some apps available that will block text messages but it depends what phone you have. If it's serious harassment you must report it to O2 and the Police.

Unless you take legal action you won't be able to get the number blocked. Some handsets have the ability to block numbers built in but O2 won't block a specific number. Obviously they would offer you a free number change but if you don't want to go down that route, you could report it to the police.

More info here: I want to stop receiving nuisance calls/messages | Support | O2

Its a serious issue and I should not laugh at the bloke/block error.....

ON a serious note, do you know where he lives? If so go to the police and tell them. A visit from the police will noramlly scare these people into submission.

Keep your chin up and do not let a small minded idiot like that get to you.

One of us is always on here if you need our help.

I don't know if this will achieve what you want but there are a number of free "spam filters" you can download as apps that allow you to add numbers or named sources to their built-in lists. In effect, you would be treating that sender the same as any other unwanted source.

As far as I can tell, they don't actually prevent you from receiving the texts - they are just diverted into a "spam" folder so you don't see them in your inbox.

If nothing else, that might tide you over until you can sort the problem out with your provider or the authorities. If you do need to go to the police, this should also allow you to keep proof that the texts are still being sent without having to read them.
