Warning received about TUGO

Today I received a second text (not sure of source) informing me that the version of TUGO I use is no longer valid, and suggesting I upgrade at a given website. I did have TuGO for a very short time many months ago but uninstalled it from both my mobile and PC so I am not sure if this is an honest text or some sort of scam. Thought I'd mention it in case ayone else has also received one.

Did you log out of tugo before deleting it.

This may be the reason why you received the text.

Check the email header to see if it came from o2 or not.

Yes I always logged out when not using it - not that I used it very much. Could not see the point of it.

Gerry, go into my o2 and remove the tugo bolt on.

I don't suppose you can remember the number?

Was it a full number or a short code?

Thanks - had not thought of that @viridis It appear however from my reading of the information that I would have to reinstall TuGo in order to remove the bolt on. Cannot see how it can be done otherwise.

Think I will just leave things as they for the present. I do not need it and have no current use for it, but who knows things may change in the future. I see there is a new version of TuGo and perhaps the text message was legitimate after all. I really must make a New Year Resolution to try and be less sceptical - not to say paranoid - about strange text and email messages.

Rather stupidly I deleted the mesage far too quickly so did not notice. But have convinced myself it was genuine having now read up a little about TuGo and the new version etc. Thanks again @MI5

Good afternoon @Toby I am sorry - I did not intend to create any fuss about this. There is nothing to take a screenshot of either on my phone or on my mobile as I uninstalled the TuGo applications some time ago.

Anyway no harm done. In the unlikely event of my getting a third similar text I will take more care to note the details and report back.
