I still use the old sayings my parents said to me when I was young here are a few

Where you born in a barn shut the door

When was your last slave die off

Don't drink all your drink before you meal comes

And the last one take your coat off you won't feel the benefit when you go outside

I like these old sayings always very wise and mostly true

"A stitch in time saves nine" : very true that one

"Many hands make light work" : like this one when washing up the pots and pans!

"A job worth doing is worth doing well" always try to do this

"Can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" : I think I could 🤔 😁

* Money doesn't grow on trees you know.

* Who's she? The cat's mother?

* Stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about. 😂

* It's like Blackpool Illuminations in here. (Still used in our house when there are too many lights on!)

taken by surprise - "Well I`ll go to the foot of our stairs"

if I misbehaved and thought it was a joke - "So you think its funny? I`ll wipe that smile off your face"

to me asking for something - "All good things come to those who wait"

@TallTrees Unfortunately I never formally joined the Cubs, I didn't like the leader.
