Also...to be honest I love Frankie Boyle. Not all of his jokes as some are pretty gruesome...but he is a funny man....if a bit sick.

So breaking news. We have sold our apartment in Spain. Sad but end of an era really. The older we get the less we can stand the heat. Also where it's situated the area is 'dying on it's feet' ....We decided (reluctantly on my part) that it was time to let it go. We have had it for 31 years and it has served us well. However, Ray popped over yesterday (for 3 days) to sign the sale details and as from September 30th it will belong to someone else.. He also needed to clear the apartment of all our personal stuff....

Just been on the phone to him checking he has done everything on the list I gave him....

Let's just say he decided some things didn't need doing.... After speaking with me...he now realises 'they do need doing'....

Well if we want to go to that area again we have friends with studios or apartments...However my tolerance for that sort of heat has diminished.....I think we might look for somewhere closer to home. Never been a beach person if honest...but do like warm sunny weather. Currently the temperatures on the Costa del Sol have exceeded 40c ...Not for me now. The tolls of getting old hey?

Agreed. But if I'm honest I couldn't take 40° temperatures when I was young. Temperatures over 30° made me ill and now even more so.

I like sunny warm weather. Temperatures in the low 20°s suit me perfectly.

Bet he needed quite a few cold beers to get all those jobs ticked off.......thirsty work is ticking off jobs done when it's hot and you're not used to it

Poor old Ray my ass. He had a list. I have had 6 phone calls today about things on the list ...that he hasnt even checked....

No bushes to trim...it's an apartment!

He did ring me when he was having an evening meal at our favourite restaurant. He told me he had just finished a whole bottle of wine with his meal...That cheered me up no end I can tell you.

Just hoping he doesn't try to climb on the step ladder tonight to clear out the top cupboards....

Apartments can have bushes !!......on the balcony or if on the ground floor, then just outside......in that heat they always need to be kept need and tidy.

We have NO BUSHES...If we had... we would leave them for the new owners to trim

Just been outside for a cigarette and it's a lovely evening here with a temperature of 20°C so maybe think about coming to Manchester for your holidays. This hotel is free and all inclusive .....
