Jewish-German refugee genius and movie star Hedy Lamarr was a self-taught science genius who invented and patented the frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology for missile guidance in WW2 that became the foundation of all of our WiFi technology today.

Interesting fact @Bambino. I remember Hedy Lamarr only as a film star.

I always remember my first 'frightening' weeks on here and although you came across as someone who didn't 'suffer fools gladly' you reassured me when you said '@Cleoriff the only stupid question is the one you never ask'. I've never forgotten that, so thank you xx
