Trick or treating was officially over. She sighed. Thankful for the silence, she began walking up the stairs to brush her teeth. Something made her pause. Turning her head, she looked to see if the door was locked. It was. Looking out the window, the street appeared to be just as empty and silent as the house. Silly, she thought and took another step. Then she heard it again...... A noise, or was it a screech. Was someone in pain...What was it? Halloween was over! Maybe. just maybe someone was being murdered!!. More so as she had descended those damn stairs in a very unusual way. Was the noise downstairs or upstairs....she felt a bit dizzy now.....As she came around from her faint, she caught sight of this image in the full-length mirror at the bottom of the stairs......She eventually stood up and was terrified to see something glowing and flickering outside. I've been good. You can pull my hair out if you like, it's a right mess.....Her bony fingers encountered something soft and yielding. Quick as a flash , a dog appeared - a stitched-together mutt!.....A stitched-together mutt ?" she muttered "What harm can that do ?"; when suddenly the dog bared its fangs and lunged at her.....Is that Sparky, she yelled, here boy, help me out. However, the dog, not recognising his weird owner, growled and jumped up pulling at one of her hands. But I have my hand and leg back at least!....AHHH now look at me....Vampires, Scary Pumpkin, Sparky the dog, and all manner of horrible things...this is a nightmare surely.....
