I saw the first series. Killing off Sean Bean in the last episode was enough for me to never watch another epiode.

Never seen an episode here either, although a couple of workmates were extras in the early seasons.

Saw Kit on Graham Norton this weekend - must admit, the womenfolk were drooling over Thor from the Avengers (Chris Hemsworth, I think) at the other end of Graham's sofa, not Kit...

Watched 10 minutes of the first episode but never got into it.
Enjoyed the books though.

My son @pgn read all the books & the tv series which is way beyond the end of the books, so he told me ... he has seen all series & episodes ... I've seen nearly all, but not in the right order ... I have bought series 1 & only seen episode 1 ... but know all about Sean bean's character Ned Stark

However, my son is very proud of never reading the books or watching any of the films of Harry Potter ... I read all the books & seen all the films ... but ... deffo not the 'how did they do that type of progammes' fronted up by I think it is / was Toby Anstis

I avoided this thread all day yesterday in case their were spoilers!

My thoughts on episode one below.

I really enjoyed the first episode. There were some great reunions for the main characters and a few scary moments.

I got the same rushed feeling from the last season and really wish they had stuck with the 10 episode format. This one felt like build up for some bigger action packed scenes later on in the series.

Well worth all the 'flak' for

Wish I had put a bet on Jon Snow becomming King of Westeross before the airing of the episode
Daenerys isn't going to love Jon Snow much more is she? ... & ... as Sam intimated she would not give up her crown for her people - how long is she going to last - an alliance with Cesei?
Sansa wants to 'Get A Grip'
Awww Ayra is such a Darling & can fight with her sword 'Needle'
I expect to see a masterful / magic permanent end to the 1000% vile Cersei
Jamie will come good ... & ... make a success of fighting alongside Jon Snow (now Targarian)
I don't want Tyrion to die anyhow no way ... he can be The King's right hand man = advisor
Those two others = the unlucky young man who's heart is to go fight with Jon Snow ... & ... is it his mum / sister who he freed from the pits of the ship = what is she going to do?
I can see Jon Snow 'divvying up' the constituent areas which make up Westeross
Hope they have enough Dragon Glass to stick it to the whitewalkers
The King of the Whitewalkers = I dunno but for Westeross to survive he has to come to a sticky end, perhaps banish all the whitewalkers to sunny Dorn ?
Liked the previous programme before GOT ... only took in half of it as was watching Notre Damn burn on tv news ... apparently there has been pledged 3million francs ? when I last looked

Missed last night's GOT Series 8 Episode 2 ... was catching up on some much needed sleep ... the cat woke me up at 10:20pm by walking all over me indicating he wanted to go outside & play

Offski now to see repeat on SKY Atlantic
