If you use the currently available technology then you must expect a certain level of personal data exchange whatever legislation is passed.

Certain level yes I agree its inevitable but if the report is to be believed then its "everything but the kitchen sink" being sold. (Sorry to paraphrase)

I'm sorry but if the Government wants to spy on my mobile phone useage they can sod right off.

And no, I don't have anything to hide, I just object to this "Big Brother" thing they've got going.

I don't have anything to hide but I would like a certain amount of privacy on such an item.

I'm all for suspects waiving their rights to privacy. Somtimes its unwarranted yes but I'd much prefere to have my privacy violated for a while in order to protect England as it is. If I'm a suspect that is! Not on the off chance I may do somthing with no reasonable reason to suspect me of doing such.

(Does that make sense?:/)

Just received a email from email@abaresearch.cccampaigns.com

They claim to be doing a survey on behalf of O2, this must be true because the first question is to confirm 077xxxxxxx is my correct phone number.

What on earth are O2 doing giving my email address and phone number to a third party.

Unfortunately that one is in the T&Cs 😞 however I'm not sure if the third party are then legally bound to not further sell on our data. (I suspect not:()

And there's a total of 26 trackers blocked in those 3 links.....pcpro being the winner with a massive 15 Now here's an example of what was blocked on pcpro link :

I'm just making the point that it's very difficult not to have your personal data displayed to whoever wants to pay for it.

That's a mouthful

However the tracker details are somewhat impersonal. Yes they know what you like but they have no clue who you are further than an IP address, is version, browser version and depending on the quality maybe your town.

I'm sure you're right, no one in this game is bothered about the legality.
I've previously discovered one of our biggest "ethical" retailers selling my email address. You just can't trust any of them.
