Is there an official thread for discussing music likes etc? I couldn't find one so thought I'd start one off.

What is everyone's favourite music, bands etc? I like loads of bands, mainly rock/metal, but also like 80s stuff.

My favourite bands currently are:

LOL yeah, I could go on for ages too. I missed off some other bands I like, such as Black Sabbath, Linkin Park, Queen, Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, Motorhead, Oasis and 80s bands such as Depeche Mode, Adam Ant, Duran Duran, Human League, Ultravox

Well as someone else who is a 'grand age' my music tastes range from classical: Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Tchaikovsky right the way through to pop, rock, soul, hip hop, rap, country, easy listening, reggae, latin, irish and scottish folk music and possibly other genres I've not thought of 😂

I love music. Stream a bit but prefer to download onto my phone. Have nearly 200 cds I tend not to play apart from the classical ones as they would take up way too much storage to download to my phone.

I tend to listen to 60s and 70s music, although I do have some of the newer singers/groups, RagNBone Man for example, on my phone.

I won't even attempt to list the singers, groups I like: it would go on forever and life really is too short 😂

Of the singers/groups so far mentioned I can say I'm a fan of The Who, Queen, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eminem, The Prodigy, Human League and Madonna. I have heard of all the others mentioned and though I like what I've heard I'm not yet a fan but I'm getting there 😉

It's been years since I've been to a live gig. Too many people too much noise for my liking. Never was keen on crowds, even in my youth, and less so as I got older.

Muse tend to go into 'Aria mode' when they perform.

For me, their rendition of Survival at the London Olympics was superb.....It really did blow me away. Brilliant band.

Not heard Steel Panthers so I will have to take your word for it @welshsteve76

I barely go a day without listening to music quite extensively. I have my music on at work (headphones obviously), as it helps me concentrate when I need to.

@Glory1Talking of Rag N Bone Man (who I love)....I have just watched him perform his latest number live at the Brit Awards. Its called Skin and he sang it with Jorja Smith. Absolutely stunning
