Cookie legislation

Are O2 exempt ?

All websites I load have a "Accept/Change/More info" message on the opening page but O2 main website and the O2 Community website don't seem to show any "Cookie" message.....or perhaps it just doesn't show for me.

Have you previously accepted them?
Or maybe Ghostery blocks them?

No because it never shows for it to be accepted..........doesn't happen on BBC for example.

Each time I load the BBC website from fresh (i.e. after reloading the browser or after switching my laptop on) I get an "Accept" message.

I have to say in all the years with O2 I don't ever remember having to accept cookies even when it became a legal obligation.

The acceptance is what contravenes the legislation.......I'll report it to ICO.

PECR requires a user acknowledgement of some sort even if it's just a click on the "Close" button
