iPad...How do I activate Micro-Sim?

My long awaited pre-ordered iPad was delivered this am and I have been trying all day to activate my Sim card, been on & off the phone to O2 all day. I'm exhausted. I finally managed to use the WiFi but really need the 3G working before nightshift tonight. Any ideas??

You need to sync it with iTunes.

Put in the O2 Micro-SIM, connect to iTunes and sync, you should be prompted there is an update for the Ipad (carrier settings). If you've already sync'd before inserting the sim check for updates in iTunes and the update will then appear.

To register an account switch off WiFi first, the iPad will prioritise WiFi if its available to save you money.
