Webmail not working

HI all, is anyone else having problems logging on to webmail? I can access my o2 accounton the o2 site but the webmail feature just times out and doesn't connect. Been like this since early this morning. Contacted o2 via live chat and got told to contact Sky (even though they're not my provider). Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi @Anonymous O2 webmail has been closing down slowly since Sept 2013. It is largely unsupported now so it may be time to change to another provider?

Edited to add..people who migrated to Sky broadband actually were still able to access O2 webmail.....though some of those recently have started to experience problems....

I'm assuming you didn't migrate your BB to Sky?
If so, webmail has finished for all customers who didn't migrate.
Anyone who did move to Sky also now has their email hosted by them.

HI, yes i did migrate to Sky but about a month ago I moved and had to change my provider. It's all been working fine and I was on there last night, it's just today I can't get on.

Yes, i migrated too and am one who is now experiencing problems! Am annoyed as i know i have important emails on there an di can't get to them....

Sounds like Sky have turned you off then I'm afraid, unless it's just a temp glitch.
Well worth you setting up an alternative though.

I don't see why Sky would turn me off now after me using it for over a month. It just doesn't connect and I get a timed out message. Will have to set up a new one with my new provider. Hassle!

You'd have to ask Sky that question.
Email is nothing to do with o2 anymore.

O2 did their job 2 years ago informing customers of the intention to close webmail. I would have thought it was Sky's job to let their clients know?

is any one experienceing problems with webmail,iv been trying all day to access my emails.not a chance,once i can get in n read them o2 are history.

2. Sky | Yahoo Mail and who can get it

2.1. To sign up to Sky | Yahoo Mail:

(a) you (or, if you are an additional user, your primary user) must have an active subscription to Sky TV, Broadband, Talk and/or Sky Go ("Sky Subscription"); and
(b) you must have an active Sky iD.

I to have been using the o2.co.uk email for years (was an o2 broadband user that switched to and still with sky). got an email to say that i was full capacity on my email (only 20mb limit) so am trying to log onto o2 webmail and will just show a blank white screen for ages. i need to get some inportant emails from there and i will then be using a gmail account. i have spent all day changing my email addresses for various companies amazon,sky,bank etc to my gmail account. just need to log on to o2. I had a webchat with o2 and got told to contact sky for which i havent time at the moment!

O2 have no access to any of the old o2 email accounts anymore.
Any customers must seek help from Sky.

Well this is the 3rd customer in a couple of hrs complaining about O2 webmail......so they must be closing some more down?

We know from what we've been told previously that they are closing it down it blocks so yes, sounds like another block gone today.

To be honest if they have done this its disgusting not to be told anything or be given a cutoff date. i need these emails urgently.

All we know is that emails were sent to every account informing them of the closure.
We can't comment as to why you may not have received anything...
