o2 masts....

After three weeks loss of my local mast in central British city I have been without o2 4G, or 3G, B/B. Why can a mast, in a city, on public land be down without repair for more than a couple of days? Do engineers exist and do they have spare parts to repair masts? Why do masts break down, anyway?

Parts, engineer availability , permission to enter land can all be affecting factors.

This seems like something o2 is doing to improve the signal services, also since my phone mast has been worked on I have full signal and 4G now which is brilliant, I didn't bother complaining about the outage for 48 hours as its an improved service be patient and happy

O2 is reported to be spending £1.5 million a day on network upgrades which will inevitably mean some disruption to the signal in the areas been worked on.
