How can I do a bold font on an iPad

Hi,

As the title says really, how can I do bold text in these forums using an iPad?

Click on the B above the text box.

Unless of course an Apple feature prevents it showing!

I seem to remember people saying you don't get the rich text format options on iOS ?

That's the problem. There isn't a B above the text box on an iPad - there's just a text box. Eek.

Looks like the way to do bold text on an iPad is to use a desktop browser

@Toby - Do you know a different way?

we used to have it but there were issues and we lost rich text and the quote option on ios devices.

@Toby can this be revisited the quote funcionality is sorely missed

If you're on iOS7, go to: settings > general > accessibility > bold text

Let me know how you get on

Thanks for that and sorry for the confusion Colonel_K

The issue is that many tablets are not recognised as laptops/PCs. They should in many cases, as tablet screens are now almost as large.

I'll talk to Lithium to see if anything can be done to bring more options back for those of you on tablets.

Unless it's just me I can't quote someone on my reply on my ipad either so people can't always see who you are replying to

Thanks Toby. Yes, its bold in the forums that I wanted to use.

I needed this to signify a question in the Virtual Interview post for Windows Phone 8. @Chris_K has asked for the posts to be in bold.

I ended up having to edit the post on my desktop to use a bold font - a fun workaround

Yeah, I don't see anywhere where I can quote replies on an iPad either.

Toby it loads the full site on my ipad but will not allow rich text picture upload quote etc

If I realy need to do quotes etc when out and on wifi with my ipad I have to login to my pc with logmein and use ie on the pc at work but it is a pain having to leave pc on just to do that.

If as Mi5 says it works on android us ios users are being discriminated
