At 01.09am i received two text messages - one from an Orange phone number and one from 'payforit', Thanking me for my purchase, I will be billed £22.50 but if i wish to cancel then send the 4 digit pincode sent in the other message, thanks CBF.COM??? The message from the Orange number came through as an 'iMessage'

I have to the best of my knowledge not been on any direct billing sites on my phone in the 2 weeks i have had it thus cannot understand how this message has come about. I would assume by some research over Google that they would like to Debit my phone bill for this sum of money.

I have tried replying STOP but to no avail - each time i did i got another message saying: "pincode invalid, you have been sent a new pin, in order to cancel your purchase please reply with your new 4 digit pin code, Thanks CBF.COM"

However when i replyed: "How about you **bleep** you scamming **bleep**" i have not received any more replies.

I would imagine this isn't a new topic but I am very hesitant to reply with the pin incase that processes the payment and a charge is placed on my account.

Any help or advice would be greatfully received.

info on the official payforit scheme here http://www.payforit.info/ i would check if you have been charged on resent charges in my o2.

this could be a clever hoax or scam as i thought payforit had a £10 limit

o2 info page http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=Companion,question=ref(User):str(Mobile),CASE=51099

Also the website in the sms is invalid (sugesting a scam/hoax)

There can be charges above £10 but require extra aurhorisation
