I have just been asked to complete a short survey when I finish using the O2 website.

I don't mind doing that, if it helps to make the website better.

However, I refuse to install a spyware toolbar to do this. If you want people to take part in surveys, let them fill in a simple html form.

I learned many years ago that as soon as you download this type of junk you then start getting bombarded with pop ups and God only knows what else rubbish.

How can you be sure what it is doing or not doing while installed?

If large corporations and governments can be hacked into, then I'm pretty sure that Joe Average who just clicks "Accept" stands no chance. I have had to format my hard drive and start again a few years ago, exactly for this reason.

Lol.

I'm always giving feedback to Apple and Sky as examples, with no need to install anything.

Simple matter of choice !

Hello Toby,

I have filled in surveys for various websites in the past, but don't ask me what their names were!

I know that usually you will get a form to fill in or a series of pages with tick boxes. It is very rare that anyone asks you to install a programme to complete their surveys.

I treat this with the same suspicion that I use when I am offered a "Free Toolbar Helper".
