slow texts

The last couple of days texts between me and my wife have taken ages to send. I sent my wife 2 texts yesterday at 1300ish and she only received them at 1730. Today not quite as bad. 9 mins delay at lunchtime again. Anyone else with same problem?

It's not uncommon depending on network congestion, signal quality, phone location etc....

4.5 hours yesterday is unacceptable surely!

Agree It's not ideal but it does happen occasionally due to some of the reasons I posted. If it continues I would suggest you try a new SIM card. Is it both ways or just you to your wife? Is your wife also on O2 or a different network?

If a mast In your area is down then the traffic at working masts may be greater and so gets congested.

Try putting *0# at the beginning of the body of your message to her and O2 will tell you when it has delivered successfuly as the issue may be her receiving them.
