      <title>O2 to O2 in the USA?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My son and I both have mobiles on O2&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;pay-as-you-go.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;He is going on a trip to the USA and I want to be able to contact him on his mobile.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;Despite assurances from customer services that I can text or call him as normal,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;on his last visit nothing got through.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;Can some kind soul please tell me what we are doing wrong? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;Does his mobile need to be set up in a particular way over there?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;Or do I need some prefix to his number, perhaps?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;Thanks,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 20px;"&gt;John&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You should be able to call as normal provided that both accounts have international calls provisioned. Call CS and make sure both numbers are provisioned correctly.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you and your son can install the Skype app on your phones you would be able to keep in contact if he is in an area where he can get free WiFi and it would cost you both nothing.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Having now spoken to CS, it seems the likely answer was that he needed to switch networks - in this case in New York to T-mobile who have an agreement with O2. It seems many do not.&lt;BR /&gt;The matter of international call provisioning only applies to SIM cards more than about 8 years old. Both of ours are OK.&lt;BR /&gt;Seems to be problem solved.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks to all.</description>
