O2 down again???

Unable to make/send/receive calls & texts. Similar queries being submitted on Twitter.....please tell me its not happening again 😞

Mine seems to have gone off line about 40 minutes ago, however data appears to work!! No voice or text thought.

I'm having the same problem - I'm in the north west and noticed it around an hour ago.

However, I can actually use everything fine (although obviously slower) if I switch it to GSM only.

Thank you for the tip, ive just switched to gsm mode and rebooted, signal back again.

There must be a problem AGAIN!!!! I can't send or receive calls or texts. O2, you can't be failing your customers again. In the North-West.

Making calls and using data

We?ve got a problem with our 3G service in The North West of England, including Warrington, Crewe, Chester, Stoke and Preston Brook, so you won?t be able to use it. But our 2G service is still working, so you can change your phone settings to use 2G (if it hasn?t happened automatically). This means that data services, like using the internet, will be slower. And you won?t be able to make video calls.

...and what is the point of a live network status checker which doesn't reflect the live status of the network? It has been saying that my network is all working fine.

Yep...I'm also in the Northwest. Service resumed 10 minutes ago for a couple of minutes on 3G but has gone again. Works ok on 2G

I live in Tyrone and my calls and texts have been down for the last 2 hours. This has got beyond a joke at this stage. Last week I missed a meeting and this week I've missed a training session. You really need to sort this out. Extremely annoyed customer!

Just notice I can't send/receive txts and same with calls - have switched phone off and on and switched to 2G - is the service down in north wales or is there somat else I can do or is wrong with my phone?

I work as a doctor, I was due to have a meeting with my educational supervisor. As I had no phone/SMS/3G for that whole day, I could not go to this meeting. I don't see why I have to justify myself here. I signed a contract and abide by it by paying monthly bills for a service, which recently has been completely unreliable. Complete joke

What sort of phone do you have?

On my Android (the same goes for iPhone and Windows) I have all my appointments in the diary with the important ones having an alarm set. It is not dependant of me having a phone signal to work.

Prior to that my appointments were kept on a Palm PDA and before that a Filofax.

I used to have 6 or 7 appointments a day and rarely missed any.

If I had to rely on my phone for appointments I would think about changing the system.

The local mast was down for about 4-5hrs. Why are you having so many reliability problems now?

I don't know anything about local masts, but things do sometimes break down. People generally don't tend to notice that things work until they stop working.

Anyway, really happy it's been fixed now though and I hope it stays that way for a long time!
