Are O2 replacing SIM cards at the moment? Got a call saying that I will receive a new SIM card by DPD tomorrow as my old SIM card cannot receive 5G. They asked me to give them the code that was generated and sent via text from O2. Is this legitimate?

@Confused65

100% a scam, as o2 wouldn't call you out of blue to send you a new sim card. Hopefully you didnt give them the code, as the scammers now have access to your account, and the instructions in the texts are quite clear, to not give the code to anyone if they have called you, as you are sadly liable.

I would make sure your passwords have been changed by you, and that you contact o2 asap <LI-PRODUCT title="Guide: How to find help & contact O2" id="Guide058"></LI-PRODUCT>

Thanks for your reply. Thankfully I didn't give him the code. He was rude and insistent which also made me suspicious. Very convincing though. These scammers are getting cleverer and cleverer 😕 Wish it was easier to contact customer service re such things and thank goodness for the O2 community!
