I'm afraid eSIMs will become the norm in the not too distant future.

I notice the Article was written by an American so both Apple and Google have removed SIM cards.

My setup here is one plastic (O2) and two eSIMs (Voxi and Spusu).

I swapped handsets with the Voxi and that was a painless process. Took about 5 minutes

Well, I guess in O2's case, perhaps...?

"If you’re not using an eSIM when you travel, you’re getting ripped off"

.

.

"An eSim is a temporary electronic add-on to your phone that lets you buy affordable short-term cell coverage on local carriers when you travel."

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2025/sep/26/how-does-esim-work

You live and you learn, I guess 🙃

They seem to have major issues just for general use in the UK, so I'm not sure what would happen if you installed another for travel?

Would you need to 'delete' your O2 Esim?

Anyway, I'd stick to the EU. 😂

Not good.

Pop up again 😠
