You @DanL might want to look at this app :-

My Network App - Find Out More About Your Network Coverage | Apps | O2

https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

Understand your network coverage

With the My Network app you can keep an eye on your coverage, wherever you are. Download the app and you’ll be able to:

- check the status of our network in your area – you don’t even need to enter your postcode

- test your network speeds

- report any issues with your service.

It’s simple to use and means that you can check the network without having to visit the main site or even enter a postcode.

However, if the network really is deficient in the locations that you frequent, you have still got a problem.

Terrible data signal?

I have recently moved from EE to O2 on a SIM only deal.
I have been with EE for a long time, but moving to O2 has been eye-opening, their data service is horrendous in comparison. Is this normal?

I listen to music on my commute and O2 cant even stream a full song on apple music/spotify/TIDAL when out in the car (never had this issue on EE).
I have updated carrier settings, double checked APN details... i am not sure what else there is to do?

Does anyone have acceptable data that doesnt cut out mid-song stream?

Might be straight back to EE.

Any advice welcome.

Should have checked first.

Best advice is to switch back to EE.
