Is there an issue with the O2 time servers? Keeping the automatic sync enabled on my phone the time is alwyas around 5 seconds slow.

Disabling/re-enabling automatic time doesnt fix it.

Restarting phone doesnt fix it.

Changing time zone back and forth doesnt fix it.

The problem is that it is playing havoc with any 2FA I need to use since what I see on my device, depending on the grace period, is not lining up and cause logins to frequently fail.

I have now disabled the time sync had had to set it manually but this is deffinetly something that needs sorting out.

Do use time.is to check for such drift, @rleyshon - and make sure no VPN is in play on the handset or, if using WiFi, on your WiFi source.

My O2 phone is very nearly spot-on when compared to time.is:

Good luck!
