It was impossible to use the phone and undertake a back up. I switched it for a new one (via the claims process), but have realised that my back up to Google Photos had not been switched on and I have lost very important photographs and video. I appreciate that this is my issue, but I am wondering if there is any hope at all of retrieving them.
