how to activate/ fix inactive sim card

Ok so i went out last night just after topping up i drop my phone in a puddle... smart, so the whole phone was messed and i'm no using a backup, but the backup simcard i have is saying INACTIVE it's the only other one in the house how can i activate or fix this?

If your back up sim card hasn't been used for 6 months it could have expired, if you call CS I am sure they will send you one out and transfer your number to it.

If you are desperate for a sim, there is always Asda but you would need to top up the sim to activate it.

If you are PAYG and been disconnected for none use. Then the number has been withdrawn and you cannot get it back.

When was it last topped up and used.
