The Doro 8050 is a smartphone seniors can rely on to make staying in touch with friends and family easy but with beautiful Scandinavian style and design. It comes with the key DNA attributes of a Doro: fantastic loud and clear sound with HAC, an excellent 5.45” display with high contrast colours, a dedicated home button for easy navigation and an outstanding battery life. Users can access the Play Store and use the Google Assistant to verbally ask their phone to do tasks.

Guided Discovery

Because we know that technology can be overwhelming, from when you first turn on the Doro 8050, you can be steered through the set up depending on your experience. From swiping, scrolling and pinching screens to setting the font size, adding your Wi-Fi network, turning on data and signing into your Gmail account. Whilst using your device you can access tutorials and support at any time by pressing on the ‘help’ icon in the menu to discover how to create contact shortcuts, manage apps, navigation tips and using the quick settings panel by dragging down on the home screen.

Dedicated assistance button

Ensure you can contact your family and friends quickly and easily in the event of an accident by programming your contacts into our Response by Doro app. When you push the assistance button your circle of care will all be notified with an alarm, and your location, at the same time allowing one to take control and speak to you immediately. The Doro 8050 connects the call automatically on speakerphone, so you do not need to worry about holding the phone to your ear to talk to them easily.

EVA – making technology fun, available and easy for everyone

While Doro smartphones offer as true an Android experience as there is, our patented intuitive interface based on actions, called EVA, takes simplicity even further. EVA simply gives you clear choices and does what the user wishes based on your response. On the home screen, EVA organises the most commonly used functions under action-based icons such as Call, View, Send and Search. To look at a new message, simply press ‘view’ and EVA will direct you to either your messages, contacts, WhatsApp, emails, pictures, call history.
