New 4G Locations - Updated Weekly

Hey everybody,

With our previous commitment to rolling out 4G in more-and-more locations, coupled with our recent spectrum acquisition and rapid roll-out of it, we're going to use this thread to announce new locations where 4G has gone live so you can keep up-to-date on the latest roll-out news. We'll update this thread each week (usually Fridays) with new location announcements.

This weeks announcement?
Rollout continues throughout December, though no locations have been announced on Social Media. We'll look to start these up again in early 2019.

December

Though our 4G rollouts continued in December, we've not made any location announcements via Social Media. After our network outage in early December, our sole focus was in getting our network back up and running for all customers, and then monitoring our network closely to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

We'll work on new plans to announce locations early in the new year. See you then!

If you're in a location that doesn't yet have 4G, we are bringing 4G to more and more locations - so we hope you'll see the benefit of our network & spectrum investments in the near future.

Network issues: Unfortunately unforeseen faults and issues can happen, but when they do, our network teams look to resolve these as a priority for our customers. Just a quick question @Chris_K - do locations that get switched on from now automatically include the new frequncies, or would they get "old" 4G and then get updated?

It's a bit of a mixture - our focus is on continuing our network modernisation programme to bring 4G and network improvements to as many locations as possible and with that, our network team will analyse each location to decide which part of our spectrum will be most suitable.

Today's National Fish & Chips day and we've just switched on 4G at some beautiful beaches, just in time for the Summer. So if you're near any of these, why not go and soak up some sun - and maybe enjoy a chippy afterwards?

I just fancied a trip to Blackpool. I always laughed at the old people parked up in their wheelchairs with the blankets round their knees and getting lashed by the sea coming over the beach wall.....that will be me now

There's a good reason Blackpool isn't listed... It's had 4G for a good while now. If it helps, I was there just last year and had a stroll along the entire length of the promenade, and of course the piers and I remember having 4G at all times.

Was up in the Blackpool are last week @jonsie (Morecombe mostly, but also a day in Blackpool).
Good 4G most of the time. Couldn't take much advantage as was end of the month and didn't have much allowance left but the little I did worked well and quick enough for me.
