That's odd then, I've never had mobile broadband?

I've 2 of the old Classic PAYG SIMs on the account.

When you click on each number the account page seems to have had a bit of an upgrade, but it still says Classic PAYG as the tariff.

So, it doesn't seem anything to worry about.

Thanks for replying anyway.

I also have had the "Pay As You Go BPI Subscription" logo added to my account - November 2025.

Unfortunately since the merger with Virgin Media, there are problems with my account - ie my auto top up was discontinued and I was unable to telephone the UK from abroad.

On telephoning O2 yesterday, the gentleman I spoke to had not idea what the BPI subscription related to!

He tried (unsuccessfully) to get me to sign up to a yearly contract.

I ended up managing to stay on PAYG with a monthly top up. Unfortunately my online account remains showing as a "Pay As You Go BPI Subscription".

Now am seriously considering to another provider. Since the merger, O2 have certainly gone downhill.

I have had the exact same issue since yesterday!
I'm also a "Pay As You Go BPI Subscription" all of a sudden and I cannot make any calls

I'd like to leave O2 and change to a different provider, please let me know if you recommend a better competitor to O2

The most important is signal.in places where you are likely to use the phone. If O2 signal is OK try the likes of giffgaff or Tesco
