topic Can I use my smart phone sim in a brick phone and swap it back when needed in Pay As You Go

My children’s school has recently banned smartphones so although my child will continue to have an smartphone out of school hours they need a brick phone to take to school to be able to contact me. Am I able to use my child’s current Sim and easily swap it back-and-forth to a brick phone?
