Shortcode Text messages fail.

I've bought a new O2 sim , for PAYG, I've activated by putting £10 phone credit on it. I've tried the sim in three different phones, and in everyone of them, when I try to send a short code text message to 84268 for Traveline, it fails.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve the problem?

Traveline is a chargeable text and will not come out of your £10 bundle. You would need to put money on for texts of these types

I haven't bought a sim for a long time. I noticed on my o2 account that the credit was zero, even though I paid £10 initially for the big bundle. Does this mean I have to pay another £10 for the short code text messages to Traveline to be sent?

No, but you will need to put some money on for things like chargeable numbers or text
