CLASSIC PAY AS YOU GO REQUEST

I have been a loyal customer with O2 since the year dot. My main phone is a pay monthly and I have 3 other phones on Classic Pay as You Go which get topped up regularly; all managed on MyO2. I do not need data on the pay as you go phones; hence no "Big Bundles" or "Rolling Plans".

I now have need of a further Classic Pay as You Go phone (no data) and suddenly this no longer seems to be an option.

Surely O2 could and would still provide this option for loyal customers; especially if they already have a pay monthly phone?

I have checked and I can move to EE and obtain a simple pay as you go sim without data and with a minimum top up of only £5 (now £10 with O2 I believe although that's not a dealbreaker).

So I guess I am asking, am I right about O2 removing the option for a mobile only pay as you go sim without data and do they make any exceptions to this if requested.

Perhaps you can enlighten me.

You are correct in that O2 no longer offer a classic PAYG and nor will they, unless you can find a sim on eBay or Amazon that isn't beyond it's activation date.

If you've found one with EE, go there for it.

Seems to be usual advice already given then BS advice given, just to increase a post count..

The OP just needs as others have posted find someone who offers classic PAYG, but needs to read the terms of them as some are more strict than others, and they are becoming a rarity.

I didn't add it to my first, comprehensive, reply as the OP specifically said "no big bundles"or "Rolling Plans". so had clearly done their research and would be aware, but there's always someone with an ulterior motive trying to be clever.
