O2 PAYG SIM in tracker device

Hi, I hope someone on here can come up with a sensible answer, I called O2 but they couldn't! I have a PAYG SIM in a vehicle tracker but my MYO2 now requires 2 factor authentication and the only option is to receive a text to the SIM's mobile number, obviously the tracker can't receive sms messages. I realise a solution is to take the SIM out of the tracker and put it in a phone but I did this a while ago, it worked but now I'm back to square one as I can't log in again without receiving a text, this is all well and good but for good reason, the tracker device is buried deep in the workings of the vehicle and involves considerable dismantling to get at. There doesn't seem to be any way to get the sms sent to my phone which is on vodaphone or to turn off the 2 factor authentication or to select another method such as receive an email. I'm starting to think only solution is to change service provider!

You may well be right about the change of provider, @BasilFawlty - you could reach out to O2 via X or Messenger, the links to those Social Media channels are in

Note that O2 will disconnect a PAYG SIM if it is not used to make a chargeable phonecall at least once every 6 months... Other providers' PAYG offerings will, and do, differ in this respect. Good luck, @BasilFawlty.

Once you do access your MyO2 by whatever means, you can add your Vodafone number as an alternative contact number and choose it to receive the texts.
