Can I switch credit from one O2 Pay As You Go ‘phone to another O2 Pay As You Go ‘phone ?

No you can't unless you want to lose one of the accounts. Moving credit will disconnect the phone you move the credit from.

Thanks for response. We are content to give up one of the 'phones but they are on two separate accounts. Does that make any difference?

No, it makes no difference.

Credit can be transferred from one PAYG phone to any other on O2 but the one being transferred from will be disconnected.

None at all. You will close the account of the phone you transfer credit from as I said earlier.
